Tom Smith

Who is Tom?

Music Review from the Tax Zombie:

Tom Smith - Who Let him in Here?!?
I had no clue who Tom Smith was when I first saw his tapes listed. But with album titles such as "Domino Death" and "Who Let Him in Here?!?" I had to check him out. Could it be there was someone out there with as twisted and weird a sense of humor as mine? (I thought they had caught the rest.) When I saw the title of the first song on this tape I had to hear "I want to be Peter Lorre." It was just what I hoped, a weird and funny song. Peter Lorre played a great villain and this song had me chuckling from the start.

"Hellraiser" will raise the hair on the back of your neck. "A Boy and His Frog" - Muppet fans owe it to yourself to listen to this song, it by far the best and most touching tribute song I have heard. It still chokes me up everytime. Why, why didn't he take better care of himself! "Return of the King, Uh-huh" follows. After tearing at my heart he lifts me right back up and has me laughing again with the first track on side two. Two birds with one stone. I bet both of them are smiling on high when this one plays. I sure do.

On one tape Tom Smith manages to make me laugh, cry and even put a shiver down my back. If you know of any other singer that can do that please let me know. But for now I'll keep my Tom Smith tapes and CD's.
