a funny music CD. one of his most favorite and famous songs which has been
played on the Dr Demento show is "i know your a fish", which deals with
the sensitive subject of having to eventually 'flush' your fish.

Sponge Awareness Foundation
Who is Sponge Awareness Foundation?
The Sponge Awareness Foundation has been recording and performing comedy
music for over a decade. They desperately need a new hobby. SAF is a duo:
keyboardist Ed Lecuyer and vocalist Kevin Eldridge. Their weird little
songs have been heard on the Doctor Demento Show since the early 90s. SAF's
biggest demented hit was "An Axl Christmas", a holiday tune about the notorious
Guns 'N' Roses frontman. "Axl" has charted on Dr. Demento's Funny Five
countdown, and also appeared on the album Dr. Demento's Basement Tapes
Volume 2. The Sponge Awareness Foundation's live show is a bizarre experience
indeed. In addition to their wacky music, watch for Kevin's stupid Spam-juggling
act (which landed him on TV with Regis Philbin a few years back). And get
a seat up front; SAF often throws free sponges to their audiences! Dementia
2001 marks the first live appearance of the Sponge Awareness Foundation
outside New England. So, you know, be gentle.

Dan Hart
Who is Dan Hart?
Who on earth would abandon a career as a psychologist to become a full-time
singer/songwriter? Folks, meet Dan Hart. Dan is currently based in Boston,
but performs throughout America and Europe. Dan's songs range from poignant
to satiric to downright silly. And those sillier songs have been heard
on the Doctor Demento Show since the early 80s. The Doctor himself describes
Dan's music as "very timely... quite amusing." A couple of Dan's songs,
including "Big Rig on the Information Superhighway", have been featured
on National Public Radio's Car Talk program. Dan has appeared at "Funny
Songwriter" concerts, alongside demented favorites like John Forster and
Don White. His latest CD is called Apocalypse Now And Then.
