I've always wanted to start a Dr.Demento convention since the success of ALCON '98 and with ALCON 2000 and Dementia '99, I finally decided to start it. When I went to my local sci fi group to ask for information on running cons, the over whelming piece of advice I got was "friends don't let friends run cons!" Well they couldn't stop me. I have enjoyed working on the con so far and hope I am starting something that will continue for years.
